Stand-up Comedy / Solo Performance
New American comic, Brielle Jobe doesn't hate herself or her dad. Her work-in-progress solo, "That Girl," is an hour of stand-up for the unapologetic, confident It-Girls. Growing up as an actor, band geek, and improviser, Brielle is tired of being told she's "too much" - despite only being 155cm. Brielle talks about her experiences living abroad, and being a broad, with a mix of dry sarcasm and manic theatre-kid energy. She's a lady who likes sports, a sport who likes men, all wrapped up in a body she's totally comfortable in, Mom! But mostly she'll walk you (because she does not run) through what it's like being a confident woman in the 21st Century. Though she has discovered some jokes come out darker than she anticipated, this show is for anyone who's been personally victimized by the patriarchy or their own mother. Whether you're an American who is fascinated by Europeans or a European who is appalled by Americans, this is a show you're sure to enjoy.
